Our site has now been updated to include details of the raft of announcements made by Chancellor George Osborne in his first Budget Speech. These changes include a new rate of capital gains tax of 28% and an increase in entrepreneurs’ relief from £2 million to £5 million.

Tax surcharge date: Further 5% surcharge on any tax unpaid for 2008/09.
Self assessment date: Second self assessment payment on account for 2009/10
Tax credits date: Deadline for Tax Credits renewal to finalise claims for 2009/10 and renew claims for 2010/11
Deadline to renew tax credit claims: Deadline to renew tax credit claims for 2010/11, and return final income amounts for 2009/10 (or, alternatively, an estimate with final figures supplied by 31 January 2011)
